The self-locking anti-skid differential can automatically distribute torque unevenly between the left and right wheels to fully utilize the vehicle's traction, while significantly improving the vehicle's off-road performance and economy; Wet brakes have high durability and reliability, with a service life more than 1.5 times longer than dry caliper brakes, and a large braking capacity with good braking performance. It has been widely adopted in large and medium-sized tire type construction machinery abroad and should also be vigorously promoted. Single power flow steering clutches and brakes are commonly used in the rear axles of tracked construction machinery, resulting in only one turning radius of R=B for left and right steering of the vehicle, while the remaining turning radii are achieved through the slippage of friction elements. This not only causes serious power loss but also reduces the service life of friction elements. In order to improve steering performance and reduce power loss, China should accelerate the development of a power differential steering mechanism similar to the D8N tracked bulldozer from the American CAT company.
